This has hands down been the busiest two weeks I have ever gone through at work. Fist off I went on vacation to Santa Cruz for a week, as soon as I got back I left for DotNetNuke World 2011.

The conference itself was great, got to meet a lot of cool providers and users in the community. Unfortunately while we were attending we had to let go of the coworker I was attending the conference with, awkward… After all was said and done we got back to home base. Letting go of another employee, this could not have been worse timing, we are already short staffed as it is and losing another person just slows us down more. But with loss also comes progression, I think that ultimately this will be a good thing and help us get moving forward again.

On with the good news, after the dust settles I will be moving out of support and into a Sales/Leadership role. It was announced that I will now be team lead of Reno operations and I will now be working directly in sales along with it. I couldn’t be more excited to start on a new venture and learn some new skills in the industry. I really want AMhosting to grow and get to where we all think it could go.

On the home front everything is better than ok :) I cannot wait for the next month to be in the books, I’ll finally be rid of the apartment that I’m not using and be fully moved back in with my one and only. Going to try to get out and skate this weekend if the weather wants to play nice, if not I’m sure I’ll post up at a comfy pub or in my living room. Who knows, I’m just looking forward to my coworker getting back into town and getting some down time to refresh and get some rest.

new setup

Thanks again to Aaron for this awesome setup, my new setup is sexy. Let the weekend begin! So ready to go on vacation for the next week. We leave for Monterey tomorrow morning for a long weekend and Halloween events, super excited to get out of town for a few days and just relax. The next month is going to be insanely busy, but I’m looking forward to the change of pace.

Not much new to report, there was a lot that happened at work lately but nothing that I can disclose yet :/ but hopefully it will all lead to good things. Happy weekend!

Big thank you to Aaron I have a fresh layout to work with!

This is long overdue, where to even start? I’m not going to go into the last few months, but things are starting to look up.

Work has been insanely busy lately; I can’t go into too many details yet, but we are moving for a huge push in 2012. I think customers are going to be excited when they see our new direction. We just put up a new layout hinting a bit, check it out here.

Next month is not going to slow down either, I will be traveling a ton. I do get to attend DNN World 2011 next month, i’m excited meet some new people and providers in the industry, I’ll definitely be posting pictures from the conference and hopefully updating here.

Before that the wife and I will be heading to Monterrey for Halloween, super psyched to go on a small vacation and relax before the rush next month. Should be a lot of fun, we are staying at a beach front villa. Supposedly there are a lot of Halloween events going on all over the place, I’m sure we will find some trouble to get into.

Aside from upcoming events not a lot going on, finally got my iPhone working on T-Mobile, now I can fit in with everyone else BlackBerry just wasn’t cutting it. Goodbye for now, I will be posting regularly I promise!

As I feared the band project was short lived, I just can’t help but feel a bit annoyed at the entire situation as I made my position very clear from the get go. I guess I’m just fed up with people telling you what you want to hear and having it flip flop later on for their benefit. But with a death new life is born, I will still be looking for a side project to stay involved with some type of music, and writing in general.

Due to all of that all my lyrics and random writing will be moved to their own respective pages and main site content will be posts, IT posts, etc. Keep your eyes peeled for new content and updates :)
